It may now be safe to say that it’s raining multi-starrers in South Indian cinema, specially Tollywood. With films like Nagarjuna-Nani’s Devadas and Nandamuri Balakrishna’s NTR, Telugu audience is gearing up for an exciting season up ahead. And looks it may get more exciting for movie buffs and fans. According to latest reports, Venkatesh Daggubati and Malayalam heartthrob Dulquer Salmaan may soon join hands for a multi-starrer. It is also being reported that the film will have war backdrop and a lot of top Telugu and Tamil stars may be roped in for key roles. Although it is unclear yet as to who would be producing the film, buzz is that a top production house will fund this mega starrer and a debutante director will be brought on-board to helm it.
It is also being said that the young director has met both, Venkatesh and Dulquer, a few times to discuss the script and soon something may yield. If pulled off, this will be one of the biggest casting coups in Tollywood. If materialised, this collaboration will also be Dulquer Salmaan’s second film in Tollywood after the blockbuster Mahanati.

Dulquer Salmaan is currently shooting for his second Bollywood film Zoya Factor which also stars Sonam Kapoor. The shooting is currently in progress and is expected to hit the screens in early 2019. On the other hand, Venkatesh is shooting for, coincidentally, another multi-starrer F2 which stars Varun Tej in other lead role. F2 is directed by Anil Ravipudi who shot to fame with Pataas.
