After enjoying a great run at the domestic and Chinese market, Irrfan Khan starrer Hindi Medium has opened to a decent response at the Hong Kong box office. The satirical comedy debuted at 10th position and earned Rs 66.28 crore on its first day at the ticket windows. Director Saket Chaudhary’s Hindi Medium, which released last year was a surprise hit at the box office.

The film’s story revolves around a couple who want to give their daughter the best education so that she will be accepted by the elite. Hindi medium had collected over Rs 200 crore during its theatrical run at the Chinese market. The film also stars Deepak Dobriyal, Neha Dhupia, Amrita Singh and Tilottame Shome in pivotal roles. Interestingly, Irrfan Khan had bagged his first Filmfare Best Actor Award for his extraordinary portrayal in Hindi Medium. Since the film has received positive reviews, we are expecting it to show a growth in the weekend. Though, it’ll be interesting to see whether Hindi Medium will repeat its success story or not.
