The gen-next star of B-Town, Harshvardhan Rane, who made an impressive debut with Sanam Teri Kasam, is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming war-drama, Paltan. While talking to us about the movie, the actor narrated how he was cast in the film at the last moment, when Abhishek Bachchan walked out. In the middle of the conversation, Harshvardhan revealed an interesting story of how he had met John Abraham for the first time.
He said, “In 2004, I used to work as a delivery boy with a motor-bike ride brand. It so happened that once my manager told me to deliver a helmet urgently to a person at Hyatt Regency. And when I went there, I realised it was for John Abraham.” Harshvardhan also revealed that he can’t express how he felt as he was numb for the time. And now they are buddies, who go for bike rides together. Interestingly, John Abraham’s trainer was the person, who trained Harshvardhan for the film.
Coming back to Paltan, it seems like Harshvardhan has managed to impress director JP Dutta with his acting skills as the filmmaker has signed already signed him for his three upcoming films. With Paltan, filmmaker JP Dutta has completed his trilogy of war films after Border and LOC – Kargil. Paltan tells the untold story of 1967 Indo-China war, where Nathu La military from India fought the Chinese military from acquired Sikkim. The film also stars an ensemble cast of Jackie Shroff, Arjun Rampal, Sonu Sood, Gurmeet Choudhary, Siddhant Kapoor, Luv Sinha, Esha Gupta, Sonal Chauhan, Deepika Kakar and Monica Gill. It is scheduled to release on September 7 and will lock horns with Imtiaz Ali’s Laila Majnu at the ticket windows.
